This is really epic! Love this type of style.
You did really well with the build up and massive sounding percussion without losing the melody.
Those horns really add something extra to the whole piece.
Good job.

ScrabbitTheRabbit responds:

Thanks! I checked out some of your stuff, too and it's pretty damn good! I think we use some of the same instruments, as well =D

With only three days to put this together I think its really good.
Pretty keen to hear the newer version. I didn't really like the drums used from 1:19/
Perhaps a stronger, bigger set of drums could be looked into?
That would have made the build from around 2:00 to be bigger.(Even though the strings make it sound awesome)

bassfiddlejones responds:

I will quite possibly bring in some bigger drums - I'll have to try it out and see how it melds together. There's a lot going on in this piece that I like, but the build/climax is lacking a bit. I hope you come back once it's redone!

Well done on coming third!
This is one of the most enjoyable songs I have heard in the last couple of weeks.
The first minute, the piano driven piece, was lovely. For me, I couldn't stop thinking of Russian aristocracy dancing in a grand hall before 1917. After that things get darker, the outbreak of war and the realisation that not all is well.
I have been reading a lot of Ken Follet recently so that's perhaps why I got that imagery from the piece.
As I said, I really enjoyed it!

bassfiddlejones responds:

Thank you sir! I'm honored that you found this so enjoyable. I can easily imagine what you have written while listening to this. It's kind of neat to get different angles from the same piece of music!

You have my vote!
This is a lovely, atmospheric, mood setting piece. I enjoyed the fact that it didn't rush into some long drawn out piece but, rather, maintained the same rhythm and pace that it started with. (Whilst adding build up pieces and other elements that created a more fluent and well paced piece.) Keep it up!

IglicaV responds:

Thank you so much for your feedback!
I'm really happy about your review, it seems that my song went out just as I wanted, and your comment proves it. Have a great day : )

This is really really good man. I am glad you are getting such positive feedback and possible opportunities for music from this song. Bad luck about the project but, as I said, this is really quite excellent.
Good luck for the future!

adaline responds:

Thank you! I'm a bit surprised with the response to it, myself. And no worries about the project not going anywhere - it wasn't the fault of anyone working for it, but rather an issue stemming from its original creator. If anything, I see it as experience gained working in a collaborative environment and also practice done with more varied compositional techniques and styles. Met a lot of good people, too.

Again, thanks. I'm glad you liked it. :3

This is really cool man. It would have been cool to hear it with the game voices but it still sounds awesome without it.
I love how intricate the synth pieces become while the piano remains simple and drives the song onwards. Very cool.

ApprenticeBlacksmith responds:

Ty ty! ^^
If only Nexus VSTi would work on my new computer...
I would have been able to add some 8-16bit like nonsence on the background. Dunno how to make speech sound like that with other probgrams :/

Also EWQLS is not working because I've installed it on my laptop and now it's not letting me to activate the key on this computer. Waiting answer from devs <_<

Anyway this track actulally is gonna be in small indie game in near future ^^
Thank you for review!

I was a little skeptical at the start of the song but I eased into it. The electronics add a great deal to this piece! I think you should have gone heavier with it near the end and just pushed up the speed of the piece but I just say that because I do that with all my songs haha. Good job.

ZxOOxZ responds:

thanks I usually do bring it crazy up but I just couldn't find anything that would work, I worked with the movie Pacific Rim as a musical Trailer refrence, so thats really how it turned out was trailer music XD

I couldn't stop thinking of an army marching to war to this song. I guess the drums helped me with that.
Very well done and good luck for the competition!

SourJovis responds:

Or heroes flying towards a floating island in a zeppelin. Thanks. A lot of good stuff in the competition. Good luck to you as well. (I can say that because there can be 14-18 winners)

This is really very good. Good luck for the competition, I am sure you will get in the top ten with ease.
(I love the Eastern feeling this song creates)

BlazingDragon responds:

Thank you! There is some very intense competition, so we'll see. :)

This is brilliant, as are all your songs. It makes me weep for the amount of work I have left to do with music but it also inspires me so thank you for that.
The piano piece in this song is absolutely top tier!

Bosa responds:

Thank you, sir! Keep working hard and keep your eyes on the prize. If you need me for anything, just let me know.
